For better understanding, we will separate sow card  into 4 parts, Header, General performance, Timeline and History.

1 - Header

Sow profile is displayed on the header

Type of Animal
Gilt
Sow

Status

Below the animal type,  you can see the female cycle and number of matings.  If  it is a gilt,  you can see the amount of registered heats.

The background color shows the animal cycle.
Grey - cycle 0
Green - cycles one to three
Yellow - cycles four and five
Orange - cycles six and seven
Red cycle eight or higher
After that you can check the reproductive status

3 - Timeline

The purpose of the timeline is to represent all events that occurred with the sow on the farm, in a chronological order. Each female's reproductive cycle on the farm must represent in a line.

  • Symbols for past events

Productive events - containing name and date. (mating, farrowing, weaning)

Non-productive events - Containing event name and date. (heat identification, skipping heat)

End of cycle - start a new cycle on the top line.

End of the sow's life at the farm

  • Symbols for future events (projection)

After representing all the registered events for the female in the farm in use,  the next events that should occur in the future with the sow must be projected.

Productive events - containing name and date. (mating, farrowing, weaning)

Non-productive events - Containing event name and date

  • Element colors

Gray - represents the event that is within the expected behavior / goal.

Red – represents event that generats productive loss, and  is outside the expected behavior / goal.

4 -  History

It contains a list of events registered for the sow. Those events are organized from the newest to the oldest. Only the last sow event  can be edited or deleted.

Edit the last event of the sow

Delete the last event of the sow
